The Perseus Monitoring 150 allows data from physical sensors, detectors, digital inputs, water leak detection cables and third-party devices to be centralised within a single monitoring unit.

It can monitor parameters such as temperature, relative humidity, current and voltage, as well as digital states from door contacts, smoke detectors, fan failure detectors, power presence detectors and other dry-contact devices.

The device combines values from directly connected sensors with information collected from other devices over the LAN. Conditions & Actions, Virtual Values, Lua scripts, calendar functions and periodic scheduling allow measured data to be processed and analysed locally.

Meters API – Distributed Data Concentration

One of the distinctive features of the Perseus family is the Meters API. It allows the Perseus Monitoring 150 to collect values from equipment located on the same LAN and use this data for local conditions, alarms, scripts or portal visualisation.

Meters API supports data sources through 1-Wire, Modbus/RTU, Modbus/TCP, SNMP, MQTT and HWg XML.

For example, the Perseus can combine a temperature measured by a sensor physically connected to the device with information from a UPS via SNMP or an energy meter through Modbus.

8 RJ11 Ports for 1-Wire UNI Sensors

The device provides 8 RJ11 ports. Each port can support up to 2 external 1-Wire UNI sensors, depending on the hardware interface and components used.

Compatible sensor types include temperature, relative humidity, CO₂, atmospheric pressure, TVOC, current, voltage, Pt100, 4–20 mA signals and other parameters supported by the HW group ecosystem.

RS-485 Modbus/RTU for Third-Party Equipment

The physical RS-485 interface, combined with the Modbus/RTU Meters API, allows data to be collected from compatible third-party devices including energy meters, UPS systems, HVAC equipment and industrial Modbus/RTU sensors.

16 Digital Inputs and 4 Relay Outputs

The Perseus Monitoring 150 includes 16 dry-contact digital inputs suitable for door contacts, smoke detectors, power presence detectors, fan failure detectors, motion detectors and other binary devices.

The digital inputs also support counter functions.

The 4 relay outputs support a specified load of 50 V / 1000 mA and can be controlled through the device interface or automatically through defined local conditions.

Water Leak Detection – WLD

The Perseus Monitoring 150 features 1 dedicated WLD input for connecting a compatible Water Leak Detection sensing cable.

This feature is particularly important in data centres, technical rooms, raised floors, areas close to air-conditioning systems, pipework and other locations where a water leak could cause significant damage.

Professional Alerts and Local Automation

The device can directly send email and SNMP Trap alerts. SMS and voice-call alerts directly associated with the device require a compatible external SMS gateway.

The system supports up to 100 email destinations, 100 SMS destinations and 100 SNMP Trap destinations, together with templates, Group Alarm, alarm reminders, periodical status and alarm escalation.

Open API and Third-Party System Integration

Monitored values can be integrated into external systems through open interfaces including SNMP, XML, Modbus/TCP, MQTT and BACnet.

This architecture facilitates integration with IT monitoring platforms, BMS, SCADA and other compatible third-party applications.

SensDesk Technology and Portal Monitoring

The Perseus Monitoring 150 can be connected to platforms based on SensDesk Technology, allowing values, states and alarms from multiple locations to be managed centrally.

Depending on the portal and service plan used, available functions may include graphs, history, Device Invalid alerts, alarm escalation, remote relay switching, PDF reports, multi-user accounts and account-level API access.

HWg Monitor Mobile Application

The HWg Monitor application, available for Android and iOS, can display values from compatible HW group devices over the LAN or through supported SensDesk portals.

It can be used on a smartphone, tablet or wall-mounted display to show sensor values on a single screen.
