The Damocles2 2404 is a powerful industrial network I/O device featuring 24 digital inputs (dry contact) and 4 relay outputs, designed for reliable remote monitoring, automation and IIoT integration. Each digital input includes a 32-bit S0 pulse counter with memory, making it ideal for connecting water, gas, electricity and other metering devices.

A built-in web server provides easy configuration over LAN. The unit can be monitored remotely via the SensDesk Technology portal in combination with the SensDesk Mobile app for iOS and Android. It also integrates seamlessly with HWg-PDMS and HWg-Trigger for advanced data logging and alarm management.

With flexible power options 9–30 VDC, -48 V and PoE, the Damocles2 2404 can be deployed in a wide range of industrial and building automation scenarios, from technical rooms and data centers to distributed sites and smart energy monitoring applications.

Damocles2 – Industrial Internet of Things solution

Damocles2 devices are designed to monitor and control digital I/O over Ethernet using secure protocols. Thanks to the Ethernet interface, they can transfer not only current values but also buffered data from the internal logger. Data can be sent using the HWg-Push protocol to the SensDesk portal, to HWg-PDMS software or to third-party systems using the MQTT I/O protocol. Data can also be emailed to PDMS, which then retrieves it from a POP3/POP3S mailbox.

The SensDesk IoT portal provides quick views of current values on a mobile phone, graphs of measured values up to 3 months back and alarm settings via e-mail or SMS (with a HWg-SMS-GW3 gateway). HWg-PDMS software collects all measured data, converts it into Excel reports and helps document environmental values for regulatory bodies, for example in pharmacies and the food industry.
