Sensor drift & calibration

All sensors experience long-term drift due to material aging and environmental contaminants (dust, vapors). Typical drift: temperature ≈ 0.1 °C/year (up to ≈ 0.3 °C/year at 100 °C) and humidity ≈ 1 %RH/year. In clean environments, perform annual calibration; in demanding conditions, shorten to 6 months or as needed.
