The device allows physical sensors to be connected via 4 RJ11 ports for 1-Wire UNI sensors, as well as third-party sensors via RS-485 Modbus/RTU. In addition, it can collect values from other devices connected to the LAN through the Meters API.

The 4 dry-contact digital inputs allow simple detectors to be integrated, including door contacts, power presence detectors, smoke detectors, fan failure detectors and other devices with relay or contact outputs. The 2 digital relay outputs can be controlled through the device interface or according to values received from connected sensors and detectors.

For water leak detection applications, the Perseus Monitoring 145 also features a dedicated WLD input, allowing connection of an external water sensing cable with a total length of up to 185 metres.

LTE Communication and Integrated SMS Gateway

The integrated LTE modem allows a mobile connection to be used as backup connectivity to the portal. This increases system availability in installations where loss of the Ethernet connection could prevent remote communication.

The LTE modem can also directly send SMS messages and voice call alerts. In addition, it can be configured as an SMS gateway for other HW group devices, centralising mobile alarm transmission.

Meters API – Sensor Integration over the LAN

A distinctive feature of the Perseus product family is the Meters API, which allows the device to retrieve sensor values from other devices located on the same LAN.

This means the Perseus Monitoring 145 can combine readings from sensors physically connected to the device with data received from HW group devices or systems compatible with SNMP, Modbus/TCP, MQTT and XML.

Conditions, Actions and Local Data Processing

The Perseus Monitoring 145 can analyse data locally using conditions and actions, Lua scripts, calendar and periodic scheduler. This makes it possible to create more advanced monitoring rules directly within the device.

The relay outputs can be controlled according to values from connected sensors or detectors. Depending on the application, this makes it possible to implement local actions involving external equipment, such as ventilation, air-conditioning or other compatible control systems.

Local and Remote Alerts

Alarm situations can be indicated locally through relay outputs or sent directly by the device via email, SMS, voice call or SNMP Trap.

When integrated with a SensDesk Technology-based portal, the system can provide additional functions such as graphs, virtual sensors, Device Invalid alerts, PDF reports, centralised management and portal Open API access.
