The ScanTemp 330 incorporates laser assisted alignment as standard, to assist in pin-pointing the area of measurement. The current temperature is displayed on the backilluminated display. The unit incorporates a 12:1 optic ratio (target distance/diameter ratio) and a fixed emissivity of 0.95 making it suitable for a wide range of food and industrial applications.

Easy to use
The applica>ons of infrared thermometers are varied. You can use it to monitor air-condi[oning and hea[ng systems, look for cold spots and faulty windows or check the braking system in a car. Check the temperature of baby food, beverages, bathing, cooking oil, jam or melted chocolate!

This infrared thermometer has a clear, easy to read, LCD display with low battery, and backlight indication and an auto power off facility that turns the instrument off after 10 seconds, maximising battery life. The ScanTemp 330 is ideal for numerous temperature measurement applications where contact with the item to be measured, the measurement range in between -50°C to + 330°C.

To optimize surface temperature accuracy:

1. Determine the emissivity of the object to adjust the spectrum range of the instrument that can be used for measurement.
2. Avoid reflection from other sources of temperature by thermally enveloping the object to be measured
3. For high temperature objects, use smaller wavelength instruments when possible.
4. For semi-transparent materials such as plastic films and glass, make sure that the bottom surface (behind the object) is uniform and below the temperature of the object.
5. Hold the instrument perpendicular to the surface of the object when the emissivity is below 0.9.
6. In all cases, do not exceed the 30 degree angle of incidence.
