To monitor healthy air, the meter includes two user-configurable alarm limits; in the event of an alarm, the meter emits an audible and visual signal.
Main Features:
Compact CO2 meter with alarm for various applications in monitoring air quality, in greenhouses, industry, maintenance, energy management and education.
CO2 is measured with a high-class non-dispersive infrared (NDIR) sensor through the opening at the top of the instrument.
Simultaneous display of time-weighted average exposure over 8 hours (TWA) or 15 minutes (STEL).
Functional Description
The product offers precision, speed and reliability in a compact, ergonomic housing. It is distinguished by its 3-line backlit display.
The integrated dual-limit alarm emits an optical signal and an audible signal as a warning when the configured limits are exceeded.
CO2 – Dangerous at concentrations > 3%
The ECO 420-xx is a measuring and warning instrument, ideal for moderate but not dangerous levels – it does not replace personal safety equipment to be used in areas with a potentially dangerous atmosphere.
Danger due to high CO2 concentration The product is not suitable for use as personal protective equipment with high CO2 levels. However, it may indicate a high CO2 value. The measured value appears on the display as a % or ppm value.

ATTENTION:
Never enter potentially hazardous areas where CO2 may exceed 3% or 30,000 ppm CO2 without additional personal safety equipment!
Note: Air quality measurement displayed in ppm: Good (0 to 1000 ppm), Average (1000 to 1400 ppm), Unhealthy (>1400 ppm)
Headaches, dizziness and permanent fatigue are often due to a high concentration of CO2 in the air. With the CO2 meter, the equipment helps you monitor air quality.
You can only improve what you can measure!
Take care of the air you breathe with our equipment. It's the first step towards a healthier environment around you, for your family, friends and colleagues.
The importance of air quality for living beings
Measuring the level of comfort and quality of indoor air also leads to better people's performance.
Carbon dioxide concentration and indoor air quality are considered the most important indicators when people themselves are the main source of emissions. Poor indoor air quality leads to tiredness, lack of concentration and can even lead to illness.
Best locations for CO2 meters
Avoid places where the sensor can directly receive people's breath. Also avoid placing sensors near windows, entrances or exhaust or air intake ducts.
In demand-controlled ventilation, wall-mounted sensors provide more accurate data on ventilation effectiveness than duct-mounted sensors. Duct-mounted sensors are best suited to single-zone systems and should be installed as close to the occupied space as possible to allow easy access for maintenance.
When measuring CO2 for employee safety purposes, transmitters should be installed close to potential leak points to allow for early detection. It is necessary to consider the geometry, ventilation and airflow of the monitored area. The number and location of CO2 meters should be based on a risk assessment.
