This professional building moisture meter includes a material library with different programmed scales, allowing users to select the relevant substrate for a more application-oriented reading. The large backlit graphic display shows both numeric and graphic values, making it ideal for on-site inspections, renovation projects, flooring preparation, moisture control and quality assurance.
One of the key advantages of the PCE-PMI 4 is its approximate CM% conversion for screeds, offering a practical comparison to the calcium carbide method commonly used in flooring applications. The instrument also features MAX HOLD for displaying the highest measured value and an automatic power-off function after 5 minutes of inactivity to help preserve battery life.

No. The PCE-PMI 4 is designed for non-destructive moisture measurement, allowing users to assess moisture in building materials without drilling into or damaging the tested surface.
This moisture meter is suitable for measuring moisture in concrete, cement screeds and anhydrite screeds, while also offering additional scales for comparative assessment.
The displayed CM% value is an approximate conversion intended for quick comparison. It is highly useful for field evaluation, but it does not fully replace a formal reference test where certified confirmation is required.
The MAX HOLD function helps users identify and display the highest measured value, which is particularly useful for locating moisture hotspots and documenting inspection results more efficiently.
