Description

Designed for fast, dependable integration, the TCG140-4 supports HTTP API and MQTT (publish/subscribe), sends HTTP/HTTPS POST in XML/JSON, and includes MODBUS RTU for interoperability with a wide range of industrial devices (including Teracom sensors). With built-in 0–10 V analog inputs and 0–20 mA current loop support, it connects directly to standard automation signals—no extra gateways required.

As the direct successor to the widely deployed TCG140, it preserves the same I/O peripherals and digital interfaces, enabling a smooth migration from legacy 2G installations to 4G LTE—especially where 2G is being phased out. Initial setup is performed via a browser-based graphical interface; in the field, remote configuration via SMS or HTTP API commands is available, along with firmware updates over USB or Internet (OTA). A rugged metal enclosure and included accessories make it DIN-rail ready for professional installations.

Key benefits & differentiators

  • Multi-band 4G/3G/2G connectivity for broad coverage and long-term continuity.
  • MQTT 3.1.1 + HTTP(S) API for seamless SCADA/IoT platform integration.
  • Standard analog inputs (0–10 V and 0–20 mA) with configurable multiplier, offset, and engineering units.
  • MODBUS RTU and 1-Wire interfaces for scalable sensor and device expansion.
  • Built-in data logger with up to 70,000 records and scheduled CSV uploads.
  • Fast reaction with SMS and Email alerts (SMTP with TLS).
  • Industrial-grade deployment: metal enclosure and DIN-rail mounting.

Use cases (examples)

  • SCADA systems: integrates via periodic HTTP/HTTPS POST and MQTT for efficient client-server data exchange.
  • Stand-alone data logger: records as frequently as every minute—ideal where Ethernet is unavailable—then uploads CSV data periodically.
  • Geolocation-based tracking: supports mobile asset monitoring (e.g., refrigerators, display cases), effective indoors or where GPS coverage is limited.
  • Environmental monitoring & control: measures and controls environmental parameters to maintain optimal conditions.

Supported devices (examples)

  • Humidity and temperature sensor TSH300
  • MODBUS RTU S0 pulse counter TDI340
  • Precision temperature sensor TST300
  • Third-party MODBUS RTU sensors
  • 1-Wire Pt100 transmitter TST200
  • 1-Wire galvanically isolated AC/DC current sensor TSC200
