Modbus, MQTT, SNMP and SensDesk Integration

The Perseus Energy 240 combines measurements from physical sensors and meters connected via RS-485 Modbus/RTU with data received from compatible LAN devices. Information can then be transmitted to a SensDesk Technology-based portal or shared directly with third-party systems through the device’s Open API.

This makes the gateway suitable for Modbus RTU to Modbus TCP conversion as well as integration through MQTT or SNMP. It helps connect established industrial instruments with Ethernet-based monitoring, SCADA and Industrial IoT platforms.

Local Alarms and Data Processing

Measured values can be analysed locally using configurable Conditions and Actions, virtual sensors, scheduled operations and Lua scripts. The device can issue standalone alerts via email or SNMP Trap. SMS and calls require a compatible external SMS gateway, or a portal plan offering those services.

With a compatible SensDesk Technology portal, data can be centrally monitored using graphs and alarm management. Depending on the selected portal and service plan, additional functions may include device-disconnection alerts, long-term trends, virtual sensors, PDF reports, SMS or voice notifications and multi-user access.

Important: This gateway has no built-in digital inputs, RJ11/1-Wire ports or PoE power input. Its physical sensor interface is RS-485; an external interface or compatible network device is required for other types of physical input.
