The primary focus in the development of the new G 1730 series was place on the essential functions of the measurement technology. Pure measurement with a focus on precision, speed and reliability packaged in a compact housing distinguish an impressive price/performance ratio, Made in Germany.
The new handheld measuring devices also impress with their ergonomic design, dust and water-protected design in accordance with IP 65/67 and the illuminated display. The compact thermometer is available with a practical BNC connection for interchangeable sensors or as a complete device including sensor with maximum overall precision.
The device redefines our entry-level measurement class - calibration log included. The matching sensors can be used at temperatures of up to 250°C (incl. handle and cable) and are distinguished by their compact design and small tube diameter. Integrated: High-quality Pt1000 sensors.
The G1730 thermometer incorporate a permanently attached hand held, stainless steel food penetration probe Ø1.5 x 120 mm and a 1000 mm silicone lead. Incorporating a large, easy to read digital display.
The G1730 gives a precise read-out of temperature over the range of – 70.0 to +249.9°C with a 0.1 °C/°F resolution and an accuracy of ±0.2°C. The thermometer will power off automatically after 15, 30, 60, 120, 240 minutes (User programmable, maximising battery life. This feature can be disabled if required.
Low battery (icon) indication are displayed, when applicable. Each G1720 is powered by two AA batteries with a minimum life expectancy of 5000 hours in normal use without the backlight.
What is V4A
V4A is a German steel grade that can get in contact with salt water without corrosion. Additional to that V4A is food safe.
V4A steel is resistant against water, water vapor, moisture, food acids, as well as organic and inorganic alkaline solutions and has many possibilities of application such as in the food industry, beverage production, pharmaceuticals and cosmetics industry, In the construction of apparatus for chemicals and in the medical technique.
In these cases, it is recommended to use V4A stainless steel (material no. 1.4404) with a higher corrosion resistance, adapted to the highest requirements.
Summary of advantages of V4A stainless steel:
Note: If you select Accredited Calibration Certificate (IPAC) when purchasing this product, click the Product Customization TAB and fill in the second field (TEXT - Required temperature calibration points.) with the respective required points or simply attach a copy of a calibration certificate.
Times vary depending on demand and complexity, typical time for Accredited Calibration:
An IP rating, also known as "International Protection" or "Ingress Protection" rating, is a value assigned to a product that determines its susceptibility to ingress from solids and liquids. The first numeric digit relates to the level of protection against solid objects, and the second numeric digit indicates the level of protection against liquid ingress. Click for a table of IP Rating values.
IP65 - No ingress of dust (6); Protection from water ingress: Low pressure jets of water (5).
